What Are You Going To Do? Media has Changed! 01/06/2012
If you’re paying attention, the world is changing. Nearly everyone has a mobile device within 10 feet of their body 24/7. They are using it to stay in touch with friends, family, and online media. The old ways of reaching your customer through newspaper, radio, television are being greatly defused. People are spending more of their time on the phone, computer, ipod or other devices. That fact makes most old media much less effective. Pay attention to the teenager you have in your household or may know. They probably haven't read a newspaper or magazine in their life, they don't listen to the radio, they download music on their iPod, and they don't watch much television. Because they spend that time, online talking to their friends on Skype or playing games. If you’re an advertiser how are you going to reach them? They already drive a large portion of families purchasing decisions, but what about a few years from now when they are head of a household, and they don't know about you? What choices do you have available? Online websites? Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Yelp, Yahoo, Google search and others? Most business owners struggle to learn and understand how to use these new media trends, and then don't seem to have the time in a busy day to use them effectively. However, one old media is making resurgence. That is outdoor billboards or signs. People haven't stopped traveling in fact they are at home less than ever before. That fact, combined with the new digital LED signage becoming more widespread and available to users. Added to that new technology is the growth of mobile messaging. These open a new avenue to reach your potential customers. You can develop your own mobile marketing systems using digital and mobile signs combined with sms texting, and mobile apps, to reach people who want your product or service. We use digital and mobile billboards to build an opt-in system for you. Then you can send special messages to them, offers coupons, contests, advance announcements of new products and services right on their mobile device. That combined with an attention getting digital or mobile signage campaign, sets you apart from your competition. Spend some time thinking about the trends and contact us if you want to explore this opportunity further. Larry Dieball Dieco Digital Add Comment First Post! 01/06/2012
